New thinking, new possibilities
Sustainability Report 2010
We want to be agents of positive and sustainable change. In fact, we believe our future depends on it.
That's the philosophy behind our Think Big plan, designed to help us support people and the planet.
Think Big charges us to inspire sustainability as the smart way of life, to punch above our weight by working with likeminded stakeholders, and to draw on the scale of our technology, customers, suppliers and communities to make a bigger impact.
Our plan advocates:
- Greener products for our customers.
- Services that do less harm to the environment.
- The next generation, with our £5 million social action programme for youth.
At the same time, our Big Six targets help to improve our day-to-day efficiency, cut carbon emissions and encourage everyone at O2 to play a part, whatever their role.
Our goal is to be recognised independently by expert partners Forum for the Future as a sustainable business leader by 2012. We are well on our way.
We measure our performance against targets and report publicly every year. This report covers our activities for the year ended December 31, 2010.

Focus on: Digital safety
We're interested in what our stakeholders think about the issues that affect our business, so we hosted a conference on protecting privacy and children online. Find out more about our approach here.
